Actually at Geardiary I queue up stories in the morning between 4:45 and 7:15am before heading off to my day job.
If I'm not sure whether another writer has (or will be) covering a story I'll send Judie a note and hold the publication. WRT the HTC, that's not something I'm thoroughly familiar with so I held it for review and addition of other info.
I did spot it at about 5am only about 20 minutes after I saw Matt sending another forum member a link to the post.
It's rare that I will ride the techmeme train or wait until another site posts so I can see whether something is news.
If it interests me I post it and go about my day.
