Welcome to Day Zero.
Regular readers will notice I dispensed with the Countdown as the last post of the day. That's because I wanted my Sony Reader posts to have priority.
This is now Day Zero. At any time after this point, all hell can break loose. Someone asked me if I chose this deliberately to be Day Zero because of the Asian markets. No. It was a coincidence, but tonight's action in Asia will be very interesting.
Also interesting is the meltdown happening in Iceland. Could Iceland -- Iceland! -- sink the entire global finance system?
I'd really like to spend this week not watching CNBC. I doubt that will happen.
