Doctor Who: Aftermath

Because he sent out the link in a MySpace Bulletin, I went over to Warren Ellis's Whitechapel hangout to read the thread about the Doctor Who fourth-season finale.

Oh the snark!

Rose is a strange and kinky one too, it turns out.

You mean as compared to Captain Jack clearly lusting for being the meat in a two-Doctor sandwich?

i've always thought brian blessed would be an awesome, if slightly frighteningly loud choice for a time lord.

i think blessed would've come up against the daleks and just boomed 'NO' at them and they'd stop and go home. to dalek-planet.

The great stuff:
The German-speaking Daleks - "EXTERMINIEREN!" Just genius.

Christ, that was chilling to see and hear!

Someone else defends Davies and loves Midnight:
For everyone who's been using Steven Moffat's excellent episodes as a stick to beat Davies with - one, Davies wrote "Midnight", which was even better than Moffat's Library two-parter; two, Moffat so far has had the luxury of writing one story a year and polishing it up like a perfect gem, while Davies has been writing half the episodes, and co-ordinating everybody else's episodes with the overall series arc - I think with that kind of workload even Moffat might produce the odd duff episode.

Yeah, he's on my wavelength. Missed opportunity, this one:
This episode would've been so much better if Chris Eccleston played Doctor Clone.
